The Chest
The Chest of Passage
Every pair travels in a chest built by hand — solid wood joined with wooden dowels and forged nails, lined with raw wool. Each boot rests in its own linen, wrapped and tied; the belt lies alongside in its own compartment. The lid carries the burned mark, the binding a wax seal, and a parchment tag the number of the pair.
Nothing here is shipped the ordinary way. As work has always left Stopnica, each chest is sealed with wax, bound in leather, and carried out into the world — to every part of it, placed into the owner’s own hands.

Un solo modelo, hecho como es debido
Una única chukka de caballero — nada más. Cosida a mano con vira, montada sobre una sola horma, en una breve gama de cueros de flor entera. Cada par numerado y hecho a la medida de quien lo calza.

Veinte años de silencio
Paweł Stopnicki es un maestro zapatero que regresa al banco después de dos décadas de ausencia. El nombre viene de Stopnica — una villa real de Małopolska, a la que se concedió carta de fundación en 1362. Oficio antiguo, de un lugar antiguo.
